Generous festive fare, roaring firesides, hand woven winter wreaths decking the halls and the warming amber glow of candlelight; our house is enlivened at Christmastide. The season to come together, whether you are gathering with friends, taking the team out, sleeping over or putting on your sparkly dancing shoes for the most extravagant night of the year...at our home its very much a family affair and the more the merrier too.
Festive Goings On
From traditional festive lunches to afternoon teas served beside the fires, private yuletide dinners to House party nights, come along and create the moments that matter.
Festive Afternoon Tea Three tiers sprinkled with Christmas notes, cranberry and orange scones and our beautiful blue brush stroke plates sporting turkey fine finger sandwiches of course, festive Afternoon tea is served from December 1st- 24th & 27th ~ 31st Monday to Saturday from 12 noon ~ 4.30pm and Sunday 2.30pm ~ 4.30pm.
Bloomsbury & A la Carte Dinner Celebrate in style with a five-course Bloomsbury menu or a la carte favourites. Nightly 6~9pm (ex Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Eve).
Festive Lunch & Day Menu Savour coffee, light lunches in the Hockney Room, or a two-course festive lunch in the Bloomsbury Room. Daily 10am~4pm (ex Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Eve).
Festive Private Dining Deliberately intimate, our private dining room; the Broadley, is the perfect space to celebrate the festivities. Offering a private festive menu, evenings are available from December 1st ~ 24th inclusive and the 27th ~ 30th.
Christmas Parties Celebrate in the Rose Room for 21-150 guests with a seasonal menu, private bar, and Garden Room access. For a cosier gathering the Garden Room is perfect for up to 40. Or, join our House Party Night on Saturday 13th with tables for six or more.
Christmas Day Champagne breakfast for residents followed by a sumptuous Christmas Lunch from 12 noon. Evening sharing boards by pre-order; house closes at 9pm. Arrive at 12pm to dine in The Rose Room at 12.30, 1pm to dine in The Bloomsbury Room at 1.30, or for private dining the Broadley Room can be booked for 12-20 with guests arriving at 1pm.
Boxing Day Served amidst the beauty of The Rose Room, Boxing Day lunch boasts the very best of East Yorkshire produce with a dash of seasonal cheer. Arrive to a crisp glass of bubbles at 12pm for 12.30pm service.

Christmas Eve Bed & Breakfast Travelling to get together with family or friends and in need of a room at the inn? Stay with us on Christmas Eve from just £172 per room (based on two people sharing), including a restful night and a delicious breakfast to start the day.
Christmas Day & Boxing Day Bed & Breakfast Heading out to get together with loved ones but looking for a comfy bed to crash into at the end of the festivities? Sleep over with us on Christmas Day or Boxing Day night on our B&B rate from just £172 (based on two people sharing). Please note that on both evenings our restaurant and bar will be closed, so our staff can head home to celebrate with their families after busy lunch services.
Twixmas Some R&R between festivities is always necessary and throughout Twixmas period, we will be running our sparkling dinner, bed & breakfast rate, including Prosecco on arrival and a three-course dinner in our Bloomsbury Room, as well as our bed & breakfast stays.
New Year’s Eve
Champagne, canapes, luxurious fayre; So, whether your toasting to new beginnings, dancing shoes at the ready, or hoping to embark on a culinary journey into the New Year, whichever you’d prefer, we promise to make it a night to remember.
New Year’s Eve Afternoon Tea will be served until 4pm. Or, choose an exquisite eight course celebration dinner created by our chefs, arrive in the Hockney Room at 7.30pm for a champagne & canapé reception before sitting down in the Bloomsbury Room. Feasting finished, see in the New Year with champagne and dancing in The Rose Room to a three piece band. Prefer a party? A four course feast will be served in the Rose Room, accompanied by dancing until, glass of bubbles in hand for a midnight toast when the bells toll.
New Year’s Day A restorative Yorkshire breakfast brings the season to a close as the house rests until January 2nd.
New Year’s Eve Stays
A Georgian house built in the age of frivolity and fun, a night of revelry is what we do best, and what better occasion to pull out all the stops that New Year’s Eve. Whether tasting or partying, enjoy our most opulent night of the year safe in the knowledge that when it’s finally time to retreat its straight up the stairs to a gorgeously comfy bed.
Tasting Stay An evening of pure indulgence, see the New Year in in our Bloomsbury Room. Oozing elegance and sophistication and inspired by the Bloomsbury set, their ethos of creativity and innovation is the driving pulse behind our cookery and will be emulated in an eight-course tasting menu crafted by our chefs. Arrive first to champagne and canapes before beginning your epicurean adventure through the spoils of East Yorkshire. Full & inspired, before the bell tolls you can head to the Rose Room to dance the New Year in, or retreat to the Hockney Room to sit beside the fire with a saucer of champagne. And New Year’s day morning? A full Yorkshire breakfast or perhaps smoked salmon and avocado on toast, to see you on your way.
Party Stay An evening of decadence & dancing, join us for dancing and an overnight stay to welcome the New Year in the lap of luxury. Hosted in the grandeur of our Rose Room arrive to a champagne reception with canapés, before sitting down to a delicious five course menu designed by our chefs. Once dinner is finished, it’s time to head to the dance floor to dance the night away. And when the bells chime? Saucers of Gallimard Pére et fils Champagne will be served to cheers. Then to kick of 2026, a hearty full Yorkshire Breakfast the next morning when you wake, perfect for setting the tone (and nursing any sore heads!)
